I wanted to visit Turtle Paradise because of its location near the turtle conservation projects. I chose this hotel specifically for that reason. However, the presence and support of tourists in the area were very welcoming. I liked seeing how the local people, who used to rely on collecting turtle eggs, now embrace and protect these beautiful creatures.
Definitely NOT a sea view hotel. Despite being close to the turtle watch and Tangalle beach, Turtle Paradise offers no views of the sea.

Our room had accommodations for hearing-impaired guests, and it also had a nice garden and an air conditioner, which was really important. 🌿

The owners were absolutely amazing, super helpful and friendly. The food was mind-blowing, especially the grilled mahi mahi and cuttlefish. Their unique take on pasta dishes, which tasted more like fried rice, was jaw-droppingly tasty. The room was extremely clean and lovely, with two comfortable four-poster beds and mosquito nets. The location was fantastic, just a stone's throw away from the breathtaking Rekawa beach. We had an incredible two-night stay here, although it would have been even better if the balcony had a proper fence and was usable.

The Turtle Watch evenings were an amazing experience. We joined the group and made our way to the beach, anticipation building with every step. It felt like being part of a nature documentary, with the guide pointing out the nesting spots and explaining the process. As we waited for the turtles to arrive, the atmosphere was electric, like waiting for a superstar to take the stage. Finally, the moment came when a majestic turtle emerged from the sea, and it was like witnessing a celebrity debut. The thrill and awe of seeing a turtle nesting was truly unforgettable.
Crowded turtle watching.

The staff made me feel like a princess, they even hired a Tuk-Tuk to take me on secret adventures. And who needs a sea view when you can play Scrabble all evening?
No sea view, but who needs it anyway? Scrabble is so much better than watching the sunset over the ocean.

We recently visited a hotel in a secluded location not far from a pristine beach. the hotel had a restaurant that we enjoyed, serving both western and Sri Lankan cuisine, however, prices were slightly higher. the service was very friendly, and our AC room had a comfortable bed with a mosquito net. Our room had an attached bathroom in good condition and had all the necessary amenities. Finally, we liked the fact that we could use bicycles and canoes to explore the nearby lagoon.
Wi-Fi only worked in the restaurant area.
